I was thrilled to be accepted to an artist residency in Italy, organized and curated by the Global Art Project. For two weeks, I was in this lovely, small town, Lecce, in the very south-east of Italy. Lecce is in Italy’s southern Apulia region. It's known for its baroque buildings. In the central Piazza del Duomo, the Cattedrale di Lecce has a double facade and a bell tower.
My studio for two weeks was in a historical building called Palazzo Turrisi. I worked with 15 other artists from all over the world including from France, Spain, Belgium, Japan, and USA. I created some mixed-media art creating and some solo and collaboration work.
